Cats are interesting animals. They are adorable, have attitude of their own, and mind their own business. If you have seen those stray cat lingering around our streets, look at how at ease they are with their environment. Quite a few time I have seen cats lying around and sleeping in the middle of a walkway, road as though the whole place belong to them. Some are fat like Garfield, cuddly and cute. Sometime I do wonder that they are living a better life than human. Life is carefree, no human worries, and plain simple living. The lucky one with good breed are living a life much better than some of us human being.

Freaking Weather These Days

Weather is hard to predict. And it is changing. It has been hot for the past few days, and suddenly it rain very heavily today. I was caught in the rain without an umbrella, and rush to a nearby library to pass the time. It rained for almost an hour plus, and luckily in the library there is wireless connectivity that I can get online and do my work. 

Wireless Network made life mobile and convenience for people on the move. It is good that the government has this vision of turning the island into a wireless hub for its people to stay connect. The plan is already on the way. However, the quality of the network which I mean the bandwidth and stability of the network is questionable in some hot spot that have been set up.

I have encounter a few situation in the same public hot spot that the speed and connection is worst than a 56K modem dial up. This is true when there is a lot of people using the network. Somehow the people/engineer design the network did not take into consideration bandwith management and planning. What is worst is when I call the support line of the company, the staff told me he is only working part time, and there is nothing he can do. Service is free, and what would you expect for free.

The Stake is High ...

Enterpreneurship is a high risk venture, even more risky than trading stock on stock market. Unless you are sure that you have the winning combination to be an entrepreneur, do not rely on it for a quick buck or get rich plan. Statistics show that less than 1 out of 10 succeed. THINK again when you decide to take the plunge. You might end up with nothing ... And again what is important is how you look at things. Even if you fail, pick up and try again. At least you gain the experience.

How to Become As Rich As Bill Gates

This is interesting especially the LESSON 1 and LESSON 2.
Money don't come easy, and there is a lot of factors that make someone successful, and at this point of time in my life, my conclusion is chance make a lot more contribution to success that any other thing in life. LESSON 1 and LESSON 2 is an obvious testimony. I will continue more on my subsequent posting.

About Apple and Steve Jobs

I happen to come across this website which feature Steve Job, the founder of Apple computer. It has a short and detail biography of Steve. The detail biography feature a 10 webpages on the early life of Steve, and the founding of Apple, the company timelines, and up to present year, 2007. There are quite interesting picture of the Steve and Apple Computers in its early years.
After reading the biographies, I think Steve Jobs was one of the rare Silicon Entrepreneurs who come from a humble background and started Apple with a modest funding. It was a story of how Jobs, Wozniak and couple of friends that happen to come together working a projects that subsequently turn out to be a million dollar company. Not many projects can turn out to be like Apple, and I am not sure if this is called Chance, but to have all the elements coming together making the right mix was not something that one often see in our everyday life.
